Omega Psi Phi International Essay Contest

Amount:  Range from $1,000 to $5,000 (4 awards)

  • The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors.

Horation Alger

Amount:  More than 650 scholarships up to $10,000

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States; be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2018 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
  • Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
  • Be a United States citizen

Coca-Cola Scholar

Amount:  $20,000 (150 awards)

Eligibility

  • Current high school senior attending school in the U.S.
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees – based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Dept. of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility.
  • Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution

Voice of Democracy

Amount: Grand Prize $30,000
